Supervision and Training

I am a trained supervisor and trainer.

I am a trainer for the Relate Institute practitioner mandatory courses. I have also been a trainer in a variety of different contexts, including working with local authority employees, schools and the general public on life skills.

I now write and deliver counselling related courses to practitioners.

A supervisor for over 10 years I have supervised students and trained counsellors. My starting point is that all relationships are mutual – I feel I have a lot to give but also to learn.

Trained in both a psychodynamic and systemic approach, my supervision reflects my integrated practice.

My own supervision has influenced my approach. Systemic training and supervision followed psychodynamic training and supervision.

I attend both individual and peer supervision, an integrated peer group and more purist individual supervision.

My role as a trainer facilitates the educative function of the supervisory role but also enables me to interact and learn from the diversity of experience that practitioners bring.

I offer private supervision to both students and trained counsellors/therapists.

If you feel you would like to work with me please do contact me so that we can talk more about your needs and expectations of a supervisory relationship.
